The methodology

Nested maintains a factual record of an independent practice. The operator supplies practice details and reports every engagement. The record distinguishes the operator’s statements from information supported by other sources. Nested separately performs and records the identity check. Nested personally requests references using private links. Each request asks “Would you hire them again?” and “Did it end on the terms you expected?” For each question, the choices are Yes, No or Decline to answer. Nested staff use reference contacts to administer requests. The operator and the public see answers only as aggregate counts, without names or companies attached to the answers. The record shows engagements before and since the record opened separately. With few responses, someone may be able to infer an individual answer. The totals exclude answers collected under an earlier consent version. The record shows whether a request was sent, answered, declined, unanswered or pending. Nested sends one request and at most one reminder after 14 days. Unanswered requests close after 30 days. Operators cannot choose which reported engagements receive a request. Withdrawing an answer removes it from the totals. The answered date and a dated removal notice remain while the record exists. The operator confirms the exact version before publication and confirms the record each quarter. Corrections are dated. Withdrawing a record hides the former profile and leaves a dated notice. The public record excludes private client identities, contact details and rates. After an operator withdraws a record, Nested retains its contents for two years, then removes them from the active database and checks the copies it controls. Nested keeps a restricted log of identifiers and deletion results. Recovery copies may persist after deletion. If Nested restores an older backup, it reapplies logged deletions before reopening the service. The pilot covers 12 approved operators, including Ryan, each receiving one complimentary year. The pilot has no checkout, card collection or automatic paid conversion. Records are shared by direct link. Access to the private pilot site is restricted.
